Meet Melis Olgac founder of Melsglowhouse

Mel is the visionary behind @melsglowhouse_ a thriving clinic and training academy devoted to helping people feel confident in their skin through beauty, skincare, and self-care.

Her story begins in Turkey, where she was born, before moving to London at the age of three, a city that quickly became her forever home. Growing up, Mel had big dreams and a curious mind, which led her to study Criminology at the University of Surrey. But behind the scenes, she was fighting a battle that deeply affected her confidence: severe acne.

That personal struggle became a turning point. As she searched for solutions, Mel discovered a passion for skincare that felt like more than a hobby but it was a calling.

After graduating, she found herself working as a prison custody officer, a challenging and stable job. But on weekends, she followed her heart, offering facials to clients and learning everything she could about skin health. It wasn’t easy juggling both worlds, but her determination never wavered.

Then came the moment that changed everything, an unexpected opportunity that gave her the courage to walk away from the security of her job and fully step into her purpose.

Fast forward three years, and Melsglowhouse is a beacon in the skincare industry. Mel has earned not one, but three prestigious awards, including the incredible honour of being named the Best Skincare Specialist in the UK.
